The Dakota Co. Gyrfalcon is in cahoots with a coyote. At 4:15pm today (9th), the gyr was perched atop a group of evergreens 1/2 mile south of 150th St and 1/2 mile west of Goodwin Ave. Several 1,000s of waterfowl were present on the ground and in the air all around it. I noticed a coyote come out of the woods to the south and put the sneak on the birds. He eventually flushed the birds and the gyr made a run at them as they flew by. The rest is, as they say,... well...dinner.
