Westskyline Hawk Count has been up and running since 1 March. There has been small flight so far do to the cold temperatures and lack of open water. Below you can view this month count which is up to date as of 21 March. You may also view the count on a daily basis at "HAWKCOUNT. ORG" and look for West Skyline.
There has been little in the way of migrant landbirds seen from the lookout. Two Hornedlark were seen on the 8th and 300+ Bohemian Waxwings on the 16. A few Canada geese have been around along with an unidentified swan most likely a Trumpeter. I would like to thank the MOU committee's and Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory for funding the count this year.
