I find myself in similar circumstances with Mike; I am not always able to
check e-mail daily, and after
two days (or a week) the volume on MOU-Net can be daunting. MnBird has an even
greater volume. I
previously subscribed to both list servers but found that MOU-Net satisfied my
needs while not
overwhelming me. I am certainly not elitist and only on good days am I beyond a
beginner. I don't get
to get out birding often enough because of time constraints and I use this
server for vicarious birding.
If it takes even longer than traveling to Carver park, I will have nothing.
I appreciate the efforts of those who post to both and hope that it is not
too troublesome, but the
two server system does serve many of us well without attempting to discourage
anyone. We all know in
the current political climate that anyone with an interest in the outdoors and
in birds especially is our
FRIEND. None of us wants to or can afford to alienate each other.
GOOD BIRDING!!!
