After having rotten timing in the AM, I stopped by after work and found the
Eurasian Wigeon in the exact spot as Jeff Stephenson and Bob Dunlap this
morning. It was about 300 yds. east (downriver) of Verchota Landing,
feeding near 3 or 4 small muddy islands. It was feeding by itself, although
occasionally American Wigeon or Gadwall would happen by. I almost blew it
off as a Redhead. I stayed with the bird until 6:45 when it was ostensibly
too dark.
