This evening after work I went north of town to check out the owl situation. First, I went up C.R.1 and found 4 NORTHERN HAWK OWLS and 4 GREAT GRAY OWLS. I then went west on C.R.22 to C.R.24 (Blind Lake Road) and found 11 GREAT GRAY OWLS and a gray phased EASTERN SCREECH OWL . The Screech Owl was right at the junction with 430th Place on the west side of the lake. The bird was in a tree right behind the sign. It was very actively hunting right at sunset. Warren Nelson
