This morning I noticed that the local Black-crowned Night-Heron had returned to Robert's Bird Sanctuary in Minneapolis, Hennepin County. It was perched in its usual spot next to the drainage pool on the west end of the Sanctuary which is located across from Lake Harriet on the north end, and parking is available in the pay lot on sight off Roseway Road.
