The Glossy Ibis was still in position at 12:30 this afternoon (Wed, 4/20). During the 45 minutes we watched the bird, it flew twice, moving to other parts of the flooded fields and wetlands on the north side of the road. Once, it flew to a quite distant location at least 1/4 mile from its original spot which was in close proximity to the road). Several other birders were there, as well.
The location: 2 miles west of the town of Aitkin on CR 15. (note: to find yourself on CR 15, leave town on 4th St NW which becomes CR 15). ------------------------- Dan & Sandy Thimgan Otter Tail County Battle Lake, MN
