Heard an Eastern Meadowlark calling repeatedly this morning on Mille Lacs CR 12 (not "spring of the year", but "zttttttt") - however, could not physically locate it in the grasses.
Aware this is quite an early northern MN migration date - have heard Starlings do portions of the song, but never the call...? Al Schirmacher Princeton, MN Mille Lacs & Sherburne Counties
