There are a pair of Common Loons on Lower Penn Lake at 86th Street and Penn Ave in Bloomington, Hennepin County. Half of the Lake is still frozen, but there also is a dozen Red-breasted Mergansers that can be seen from the parking lot. What a welcome sight!!! Conny Brunell Richfield, Hennepin Cty.
