Tuesday: Red-shouldered Hawk (immature) seen in Dakota Co. on Hwy 55 just west of CR42 (west), Same hawk was seen about a month ago just a few hundred yards to the east. From the back this bird looks just like a Red-tailed Hawk, but in the front the streaking is almost uniform from the chest down. This bird likes to perch on the wire, rather than the poles.
