Although this species is found with regularity in some spots, this bird is only the 2nd or 3rd record for Kandiyohi county.
The EC dove is being seen at a private residence in the town of Kandiyohi, about 5 miles east of Willmar, on hwy 12. Anyone wanting to see this bird is asked to call 320 382-6530. I spoke with Dorothy; her husband's name is Owen. I did not see the bird myself, but from her description, it seems too large for a ringed turtle dove. Randy Frederickson Willmar
