The Nongame Program is currently part of Ecological Services and = Carrol's boss is Lee Pfannmuller. So in that sense Nongame is not being = taken away from Carrol and given to Lee.
Eco-Services is restructuring how their programs report within the DNR. = A structure that will be the same as other Divisions in the DNR and = result in people reporting to regional supervisors rather than directly = to someone in St. Paul. Not everyone is, or will be, happy with this = change.=20 Carrol, along with Pam, Katie, and everyone else in nongame run maybe = the best nongame program in the country. As birders, our financial = support of the chickadee checkoff results in real benefits to all the = birds we spend so much time watching. I would encourage everyone to = continue making contributions to this very valuable program. It looks like the Nongame Program is =20 being taken away from Carrol Henderson and put her department, =20 Ecological Services.
