Northern Koochiching County Canadian border Mallards, Hooded Mergansers and Juncos returned about 4/1. Also had the opportunity to watch 3 otters that day. Purple finches returned about 3/30. Wood ducks returned this evening (4/3 on schedule). Lots of waterfowl on river mostly goldeneyes. 3 swans flew over house about 3/27 a first. Expect: Pelicans should return in next 2-7 days. Still hosting lots of evening grosbeaks, pine siskins, hairy and downy woodpeckers, both nuthatches and occasional red polls at feeder. Still lots of snow most places Have a great week Tom
