This morning at Wood Lake Nature Center in Richfield, Hennepin County I enjoyed the pleasure of seeing an adult female Black-throated Blue Warbler in the sunshine. The Warblers were very active early and I saw several Blackburnian, Golden-winged, Black-and-white, Ovenbird, Northern Waterthrush, an adult male Mourning, Northern Parula, Nashville, American Redstart, Tennessee, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, and many Common Yellowthroats. There also was an adult male non-breeding Scarlet Tanager, Philadelphia Vireo, Great Crested Flycatcher, and the Carolina Wren is still around and was singing! Conny Brunell Richfield, Hennepin Co.
