Evening grosbeaks are now regular at my feeder in No Koochiching county and saw one great gray owl twice yesterday about 5 miles east of Birchdale then 1/4 mile south on county road off highway 11. Also there were a pair of owls most of summer down road referred to as Birchdale cut off about 10 miles southsoutheast of Birchdale. Barred owls sound like they are all around at night here. Some positive owl notes! Tom
