About 9PM last night at two separate & lucky stops along Burn's Valley off N. Pine Creek Rd. west of LaCrescent, at least two Whips were singing high up the valley just below the orchards (currently in blossom), and the Woodcock next stop below, maybe 1/2 mile. Burn's Valley Rd. from N. Pine Creek Rd. is the current detour route for traffic going north out of LaCrescent to Nodine and along the bluffs north of LaCrescent. Fred Lesher, LaCrosse, Wis.
