Carol Schumacher called to report a Common Moorhen in the Rum River State Forest in western Kanabec County. It was at the north end of an impoundment along Apple Street, which heads south off CR 56 (205th Ave). This is very close to the Mille Lacs County line. Carol mentioned that Craig Menze might be able to give better directions later this evening if he looks for it.
