Hello, This morning at 10:15 the black-headed gull was on the pier at the north end of Big Spirit Lake in northern Dickinson county, Iowa. The brown pelican was not seen this morning up on the island at Little Spirit Lake in Jackson county, Minn.. This doesn't surprise me because today it is sunny and calm and it seems to me with those conditions he has been difficult to locate. I will try to check again and report before the weekend.
