Saw a great blue heron along Minnehaha Creek in Mpls. (between L. Hiawatha and M. Falls) this afternoon at about 4:20.
This is by far the latest in the season I've ever seen one along this stretch. It was so out of place along the icy and snowy creek edge that even the non-birders along the pedestrian path were saying, "look, a heron!?" Diana Minneapolis
