At 3:30 PM I found the Snowy Owl where reported yesterday 12/6/05 at the top of a utility pole exactly at the 85 mile marker on Hwy 52.
I was met by John Hochema at 4:00 PM. After a brief view of the bird, it flew further South and perched on another pole. It then flew again and we failed to see where it went. John relocated the bird about 5 miles North on another utility pole on HWY 52. The bird then flew off to the west at 5:00 PM. John relocated the bird hunting to the west of HWY 52 but lost it in the dark. The owl was large and very white and extremely skittish. Scott B.
