Hi all! We went out to Black Dog Lake this morning to try and find the Kittiwake again. There weren't any gulls on the entire lake... I think we saw three in total flying around. We did however see what we are almost positive is a pair of Trumpeter Swans swimming in the open water at Black Dog Lake, across from the small parking lot at the western outlet. Also there were a group of Common Mergansers and Hooded Mergansers, Common in the Minnesota River and the lake, Hooded only in the Minnesota. That's all! Couple Herring Gulls, but that's it.
