Greetings Doug Kieser was kind enough to post some of the images I took of the Pt. Douglas Slaty-backed Gull on Jan. 15. The bird was present on the Wisconsin side of the channel when these images were taken. The link to these images on Doug's site is: http://www.pbase.com/chewy2b/jm_15jan Note the dark centers to the outer two rectrices on image SBGU_2, indicating probable 4th cycle. Also note the underside pattern of primary P10 on that same photo. The richer pink/red leg color compred to Herring Gull is most evident in image SBGU_3.
