A Short Eared Owl can be seen on Hwy 251 immieadiatly east of Maple = Island in freeborn county. The bird was first seen on the 4th and has = been seen for the last two nights. It is seen before sunset working the = area east of Maple Island to 860th St. A local says that he sees the = bird just about every night. My father-in-law who first found it has = some nice photos. A Northern Shrike was also seen in the area = yesterday.
