I observed the Spotted Towhee today (2-23-07) at the Austin home location previously mentioned. He showed up at 7:15am and was seen 3 times thru about 7:30am. At about 9:15am a buddy of mine showed up, and as luck would have it, the Towhee showed up again about 9:45am. We got to see him for quite a long period of time, maybe 10 or so minutes, with good all around views. What a beauty! He hung around the lilac bushes by the feeders, and went into the back yard (out of view) for several feeding runs.
