A friend of mine just told me he found a dead Great Gray Owl Wednesday night on Hwy 73 at mile marker 111 north of Chisholm in St Louis County. He said he thinks the owl had just been hit by a vehicle as it was still warm when he found it. This is sad news indeed for I think this may have been a resident owl. Others have reported owls from this location before and I have also seen a GGO in this general area. Dee Kuder Crane Lake, MN
