Jim Otto and Doug Kieser found an American Three-toed Woodpecker and five Black-backed Woodpeckers Saturday afternoon at Lighthouse Point in downtown Two Harbors. After they called, I was able to meet up with them and see all of the woodpeckers, as well as a sixth Black- backed. Most of them were seen along the trail on the east side of the point.
The Three-toed is likely a different individual than the one found by Chris Benson at about the same time near the Harbor Point Apartments at 3rd Avenue and 1st Street. Jim Lind Two Harbors
