Harris Sparrows arrived yesterday at Spring Lake Park. Also, late yesterday afternoon, in the center island of the pond at the southwest corner of 85th and the frontage road just west of University Avenue is a Yellow Crowned Night Heron perching on a limb overhanging the water. Plus a pair of nesting Brown Thrashers in the north edge of Springbrook Nature Center near the maintenance garage - singing up a storm.
