Hi Not having much time for birding, but Kim saw a nice assortment of warblers this week, but couldn't refind the Mockingbird at Rice Lake NWR. There were 2 Willets and a Semi-Palmated Sandpiper at Garrison in Crow Wing County on Wed.afternoon. The Ovenbird is back in my woods and the Broad-winged Hawks are looking for nest sites. Finding new arrivals everyday is what I love about spring.
McGregor is having its first birding and nature festival on the second weekend of June. June 9-11 with registration beginning the evening of the 8th. Field trips, speakers, vendors and fun. Check out the information at www.mcgregormn.com or follow the links at our web site. Kim is still updating the website with final information about the activities so check back again next week for more details. Hope to see some of you there.
