I may have to drive to the north shore soon if I don't find a Magnolia and Chestnut-sided Warbler or maybe even a Blackburnian. Please tell me someone has seen one today in the Cities somewhere. Or do I have to schedule a BWCA trip and have a soggy Chestnut-sided sit on a branch by my tent like last year? I may do it anyway but a nice dry one here would be sweet. I'd prefer it close enough for my bike but a drive can do. Carver Park maybe? Dakota County? Sucker Lake? What an odd year for warblers - and a great one for Robins and Goldfinches.
