Yesterday I saw a Northern Hawk-owl perched on a snag on the west side of the road in the spruce bog along Hwy 65, 3.6 miles north of CR 53. This bog is about 17-18 miles north of Nashwauk. I think this is the same location that a friend of mine saw a NHOW back in late February.
