Was able to view the two Common moorhens at the EAST SIDE WMA this morning about 11:00. John Hockema spotted them and called Quarry Hill Nature Center where four of us were just completing the monthly bio-blitz bird search.
The were just north of the island on the far side of the water. The island is situated beyond the point of land on the south side of the open water. A scope is needed, binoculars do not cut it.
