We had a red-breasted nuthatch at our feeder here in Lauderdale, Ramsey Co., on August 4. This is an early date and may portend an irruption year. That'd be cool! We've also had a couple of female ruby-throated hummingbirds visiting daily since July 22. I judge that the white tail tips and lack of throat color identify them as females.
