Turn right at the only stop sign in the park & scan the treetops west(southwest?) of the wetland. At the Dairyland Power Plant along Hwy 35 south of Genoa, two Peregrines were perched at the nestbox on the southmost stack this noon, March 7. The Lansing Loop, a six hour auto tour along the Misssissippi River in Wis., Minn., & Iowa is March 17. Bald Eagle nests will be visible, & Peregrines may be viewed at several locations along the route, plus those likely to nest on the USBANK building in downtown LaCrosse. The trip is sponsored by the Coulee Region Audubon Society. Lunch on your own in Lansing, Iowa, or bring your own. Meet at the entrance to Goose Island from Hwy 35 at 7AM. Fred Lesher is the leader.
