A male Three-toed Woodpecker visited a dead spruce in our yard about half an hour ago, flicked some bark off the tree and, of course, flew off out of sight. Crows moving through in small flocks, a few Com. Redpolls mixed in with small flocks of Pine Siskins and Am. Goldfinches. Seems to be a different mix of these little birds every day, suspect they stick around only if it's snowing. Two gray jays are still regular visitors.
