Chet Meyers writes: For the past four days I have been circumnavigating Isles, Clahoun and Harriet looking in vain for multitudes of waterfowl. Despite the early ice-out the birds prbably know better and will not arrive until next week. Only a few resident mallards and small flocks of red-breasted merGANsers.. or is that MERgansers?
