Bass Ponds Friday around late morning and early afternoon. Did not spot the
White-eyed Vireo. Did however see the Cerulean Warbler in the giant Cottonwood
at the bend in the trail (past the Vireo location). The other surprise was the
lone, behind schedule, Dunlin feeding in the larger holding pond along the
Hogback trail. It was on a sandy spit that juts out a little near one of the
inlets. Of other interest was a Sandhill Crane riding a thermal over the park
around 11:30.
