Highlights in & around the refuge today:

* Hooded Warbler, Blue Hill Trail (opposite the first trail that leads up
the hill, same general location as two years ago)

* Upland Sandpipers (2), Prairie Wildlife Auto Tour (across from Prairie
Trail)

* Northern Pintail, Auto Tour (Big Bluestem Pond) - bit late, aren't we?
Hanging with a small group of Mallards.

* Osprey, Auto Tour (last major pond) - generally they don't stick around
the refuge - carrying food - nesting?

10 warblers overall, including Golden-winged, Blue-winged (and the
Brewster's) and Mourning.

Good birding to all!
