An adult Tricolored Heron was seen at 4:00 PM, today, June 5 at Black Rush Marsh in Lyon County. Black Rush Marsh is located east of Minnesota Highway 23 along Lyon County Road 59. Co. 59 is two miles north on 23 from Russell or approximately 9 miles south (from the junction with Highway 59) on 23 from Marshall. Take Co. 59 one mile to the east to an impassable Minimum Maintenance Road which runs south through the marsh. You can walk the road but not drive it. The heron was approximately 1/4 mile down this road. Bob Janssen
