Right now, I have a common nighthawk doing his courtship display outside my apartment building, I can even hear his booming sound. I haven't heard that d since I was in college in Indiana--dozens of these birds displayed around the dorms. We typically hear one here and there around Uptown in the summer, but the booming is a first since I've lived here.
