At General Mills Nature Preserve in Golden Valley, one Dickcissel was
singing on a dead branch of a sapling on the north side of the preserve (11
am.) Then it flew to the south side of the preserve, but I was unable to
relocate it. Besides that, no other birds out of the ordinary.
The easiest way to get there is to take 169 and take the Highway 55 exit
(east.) At the first intersection, turn right on General Mills Blvd. Then turn
right at the next stoplight onto Betty Crocker. There is limited parking on the
northside of the road. Good birding!
