I received a phone call from Randy Frederickson at 11:10 a.m. this morning (July 4th, 2007). He informed me that he and several other birders were unsuccessful this morning in finding the Lark Bunting in Polk County. He arrived at the spot around 7:00 a.m. and found that the area where the Lark Bunting has been seen in the past had been mowed removing all the taller vegetation on which the bird had perched.
