In our backyard, I have what appears to be a young cowbird being fed by an adult male cardinal. I have also seen the female cardinal hanging around. I have some photos of the birds, and I believe this is a cowbird although it does somewhat resemble a house finch, too. Does anyone know if cardinals are frequent hosts for cowbirds?
