Being in the neighborhood, I was able to stop by the sewerage lagoons south of
Sleepy Eye today. Regretably, this was at dusk, so I was unable to fully
assess what was there. I did find at least five species of shorebirds
including Killdeer, Lesser Yellowlegs, Pectoral Sandpiper, Spotted Sandpiper,
and Solitary Sandpiper. I believe there were also Least Sandpipers. In
addition I counted 40 Franklin Gulls.
