Late this evening, Doug Kiefer, Steve Weston and I observed two Whimbrels on the mudflats at Purgatory Creek Wetland complex in Eden Prairie. The birds were not present earlier in the evening, but appeared around 8:00 PM and were there until darkness set in. They were best seen from the blind on the southwestern side of the area. Hopefully, they will stick around for a bit!
