Here in Hastings, we had about 25 Eastern Bluebirds show up this afternoon to check out the nesting houses used earlier this Spring. It was quite a sight as they lined up on a fence railing and took turns hovering (like Hummingbirds!) in front of the house opening. There'd be three of four hovering at a time! We've always had them come back in the Fall to check out the houses but never that many and we've never seen them hovering like that.
