Yesterday I observed a male Cardinal at Crane Lake in northern St Louis County. Crane Lake is 4 miles from the Canadian border.
This morning a friend called to say she has a female Cardinal at her (empty) feeder at Buyck, MN. Buyck is about 15 miles south of Crane Lake.
