Beautiful, sunny days for birding along the North Shore,  Duluth to Gooseberry. 
 Saw 39 species with these highlights:
numerous DARK-EYED JUNCOS, AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS, both WHITE- and RED- 
BREASTED NUTHATCHES, RED-TAILED HAWKS, and BALD EAGLES along route
1 male, two female PINE GROSBEAKS - Congdon Park Nature Trail in Duluth (11/1)
1 WHITE-THROATED SPARROW - Lester/Amity Park in Duluth (11/1)
1 GOLDEN EAGLE, 1 SHARP-SHINNED HAWK, AND 1 BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER -  Hawk 
Ridge (11/1)
1 NORTHERN GOSHAWK and 1 FOX SPARROW - Hawk Ridge (11/2)
4 female PINE GROSBEAKS - feeding on a crab tree at the house with an orchard 
along the gravel road parallel to Scenic 61 in Knife River, just north and east 
of Emily's Restaurant
30 SNOW BUNTINGS, HERRING GULLS, and 1 YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER - Knife River

6 PINE SISKINS (tried but missed seeing the Inca Dove) - Two Harbors (11/1)
1 BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER and 1 CARDINAL - by Gooseberry S.P. feeders (11/1)
many COMMON GOLDEN-EYES, 3 BUFFLEHEAD, 6 AMERICAN BLACKDUCKS, AND 2 COMMON 
MERGANSERS on bay side of Park Point (11/2)
1 COMMON LOON - lake side of Park Point (11/2)
3 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS - grassy areas of parking lot near beach house, Park 
Point (11/2)
30-40 SNOW BUNTINGS - south end of runway at Sky Harbor Airport, Park Point 
(11/2)
