In addition to the regulars - Black-capped Chickadees, White and Red-breasted Nuthatches and the occasional Blue Jay, we had a lone Robin land in a crabapple tree yesterday morning before the snow began, and one Am. Tree Sparrow.
Haven't seen the Robin again, but the Tree Sp. visited again today, and also an adult Harris' Sparrow, a species we hadn't seen here since spring. Not very birdy here presently - once in a while some Pine Siskins turn up, maybe a Goldfinch or two. Pine Grosbeaks and both Cedar and Bohemian Waxwings were busy eating crabapples in October, but have been scarce since. No redpolls yet. Carol Tveekrem
