I found a few good birds within Golden Valley this afternoon. Highlights include: --Dark morph R-L Hawk. This bird was seen 3 seperate times at the intersection of Highways 55 and 169. 2 out of 3 times I saw him flying in the southwestern quad. I also saw him perched in a dead tree at the General Mills Nature Preserve upon my arrival. A R-T Hawk has been kind enough to share his territory with this Artic visitor. --Noisy Song Sparrow (1). --Northern Shrike (1). Good (cold) birding!
