When I ended my volunteer shift at The Raptor Center, a call came in that a hawk or falcon flew into a window of the Rec Center at the U of Minnesota off of University and Oak. I drove over to check it out and was surprised to find a female merlin on the ground. She flew away very well, it was sweet to watch her dark form maneuver around the buildings.
